Alasdair Campbell - George Wilson
Toronto-born baritone Alasdair Campbell holds a licentiate in music from McGill, where he portrayed Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, The Vicar in Britten's Albert Herring, and Il Cavaliere di Belfiore in the Canadian premiere of Verdi's Un Giorno di Regno. He also holds a degree in chemistry from Carleton University, during which time he played the roles of Le Podestat in Bizet's Le Docteur Miracle with Opera Inside Out, A Villager in I Pagliacci with SOPAC, and chorus member in Somers' Louis Riel with the COC. Alasdair has also performed the role of Il Conte Robinson with OperOttawa and Halim in the premiere of L'Orangeraie with Chants Libres. Upcoming engagements include being a soloist with the Ottawa Bach Choir, a group he has been a member of since 2017, for the concert "Leipzig 1723" on May 4th and portraying the role of Adolf in DvoÅ™ák's Jakobín with the Canadian Institute for Czech music in Toronto in September.
