An exciting season of "Classic Tales…New Operas" awaits you this year at New Opera Lyra! 

From the sands of Ancient Egypt to New York of the Roaring 20's, our 2023-24 lineup brings timeless themes of love, treachery, obsession  and revenge - all fully staged and with superb casts.

As well, we are looking forward to opening our season with a co-production of this year's National Capital Opera Competition - and by joining forces with Ottawa's Ewashko Singers in a closing Gala.

Thanks to you, our inaugural season last year was a great success. The audience for opera in Ottawa is already large and enthusiastic - and it is growing every year.
